Nearly a year ago Carly and I started working with a bride who hired us to plan and design her entire wedding.  She wanted to get married at The Loft On Pine.  Built in 1880 it has stunning architecture, so naturally we were pretty excited!  Then as we got to know our bride and her vision for the day came to life it became apparent to Carly and I that this was going to be a really stunning evening, so naturally we got a bit more excited.  But she had yet to hire a photographer!  We started making our recommendations  and showed her different styles to see what she might be interested in.  She quickly informed us that her sister would in fact be gifting her a photographer.  With little say in the matter we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.  Well our hopes came true when we learned that Jasmine Star was hired for the job, so naturally we were extremely excited!  Carly quickly reached out to Jasmine to introduce herself and a few emails later Carly went down to Jasmine’s studio to share a cup of tea!  A new friendship was born and when two creatives come together its hard not to collaborate which is where this style shoot idea came from.  When I was asked to shoot alongside of Jasmine to capture the entire day on video it was truly an honor.  I hope you enjoy the photos and video as much as we enjoyed curating them.

It’s days like this one that remind me how much I love this job.  We woke up at 6:00 am and trekked out to the middle of no where California where it was dunes as far as the eye could see.  We then proceeded to pitch a moroccan tent and had a party!  When I got the footage home the hardest part for me is always choosing the right song.  I sat for hours trying to hunt down the perfect tune.  Finally I gave up and started editing.  In every clip I captured there was this simple beauty to the sound of the wind rushing past our little camp.  No song could have captured how perfect that day was like the rushing wind did.  Enjoy!
